This weekend’s Yellowknife launch of Anita Daher’s Racing for Diamonds was well-attended.

Canadian Rangers and Junior Canadian Rangers were especially excited about the book, since the protagonist is a JCR.

Congratulations, Chocolate Lily Winners!

Puppies on Board

Puppies on Board, written by Sarah Harvey and illustrated by Rose Cowles, won the Chocolate Lily picturebook category. Over 5000 grade school children around the province in kindergarten through grade eight read shortlisted titles, and voted to choose the winners.

Several Orca books were also shortlisted for next year’s Chocolate Lily: Safe House and Yossi’s Goal in the novel category, and Dragon Tide in the picturebook category.
