Saving Grace

Saving Grace, an Orca Soundings novel by Darlene Ryan, has been nominated for the Ann Connor Brimer Children’s Literature Prize, part of the Atlantic Book Awards. Saving Grace, the compelling story of a teen mother who kidnaps her baby after giving it up for adoption is also an American Library Association Quick Pick and has been nominated for the Texas Library Association’s Tayshas Reading List..

Darlene is also the author of Rules for Life and the upcoming Responsible.

    Another Orca book - Nightwalker, by K.V. Johansen - won the 2008 Ann Connor Brimer award.

    Yes… and it was nominated these places too…

    Nightwalker has been selected for the Saskatchewan 2008 Snow Willow Awards shortlist.

    Nightwalker has been selected for the Ontario Library Association’s Best Bets list.

    I still haven’t read it. Mental note to self.. READ Nightwalker.
